Cut, solder, melt and polish in this hands-on class
Curious about silversmithing? In this hands-on beginner workshop, you’ll make two pairs of sterling silver earrings using traditional tools and techniques – no experience needed.
First, you’ll saw out your own unique shapes from a sheet of solid sterling silver, drill a hole, and learn how to finish and attach a shepherd’s hook to create your first pair of handmade earrings.
Then, we’ll show you how to repurpose your leftover silver offcuts into a second pair of earrings, in the form of molten studs with an organic, pebble-like finish. You’ll learn how to safely melt the silver, attach earring posts, and give your studs a polish.
By the end of the class, you’ll take home two finished pairs of sterling silver earrings.

- This class is open to everyone aged 18+
- This class is best for those who have zero silversmithing experience
- A lot of people come solo, so if you’re thinking about booking on your own, chances are you won’t be the only one. Our teachers are warm, friendly, and always make sure solo guests feel welcome and supported.
- We welcome all genders and identities in our inclusive space.
- This class involves using basic silversmithing tools, including a blowtorch. We’ll guide you through safe handling and provide full supervision throughout. If you’re feeling unsure, let us know, we’re here to support you.
- This class may not be suitable for those with limited hand mobility or grip strength.
- Participants must wear closed-toe shoes and tie back long hair for safety.
- All materials are included, and you’ll leave with two finished pairs of sterling silver earrings: one dangle pair and one molten-style stud pair.
